[[BiG? APpeTiTe?]]

I found out something yesterday!! I HAVE A BIG APPETITE??

I went out with my 2 close friends from secondary school with the hope of catching up and watching movie. Unfortunately, the whole of Singapore seem to have the same thought too and in the end, we didn't manage to catch the movie but yes we had lots of catching up to do :P

We went to a couple of shops to eat, talk (gossip), rest and watch (ppl of course)...For my poor memory - a jap restaurant @ plaza singapura for lunch, tcc for afternoon tea break, coffee club for dinner and Rochor beancurb stall @ Selegie Rd for supper...This whole eating expedition took many hours from 2pm till 10pm :) So FUN!

I had the feast of my live though the cakes really disgust me...the worst experience ever :( My friends are doing well - which is glad to hear. We discuss a lot on the pros and cons of a relationship [what to look out for/avoid~the + and -] That was really thought provoking...Guys beware :O) haha

Catch up some other days...got to go offline

...duu...duu...duu [Operator: The person u r trying to reach is currently unavailable :) Plz leave a msg after the "duu" sound :P -------------- "duu"]

[[A FrESh BeGiNNing]]

Hi...One month didn't update this blog! How can I miss out the most impt thing that is happening in my live right now!! It's my NEW JOB!

Right I started my new job and new beginning @ Changi Airport on 11 July 2007 :) That's my new workplace. 1.5 hr ride from my house :( Got to wake up in the wee hour of the morning & go to work w/o my energy food (breakfast)...I eat in the office though by buying Mc Donalds/ Wang Jiao Cafe in the departure/transit area. Must be curious what is my job right?

Hah I am working in CAAS (find out what it is yourself) - Airport Mgt divison...Well I handle (mgt) the feedbacks by tourists and collate statistics-analyse them-report them. Sounds easy? Nope it's not! Imagine the hundreds of feedbacks I have to deal with in a wk!! There are also adhoc projects which I have never encounter before in my previous jobs! Whew I have so much learning to do in this job but fortunately there's training courses available from time to time :D

Envy? Pls don't...it's full of hardship & untold pain...haha enjoy live while u can okay dear friends! But seriously, my job has ++s too: benefits & events~~~

As some may already know, I like to do wood work...Sec 1 & 2 Design & Technology lessons were fun, exciting and engaging...It's not only a boy thing ok...haha

Here see my dream castle (done somewhere in May. Still alright but I forgot to put glue to stick them firmly) :

The final part of my holiday...31 May 2007 (afternoon) to 2 June 2007 (evening), we were at Japan. We explored around Narita (where we were living cos it's near the airport) and Tokyo (Ueno, Shibuya and Shinjuku). It's was a nice experience! The people there though not very conversant in English but mostly friendly, helpful and polite (especially those at Narita, near Mercure Hotel). They lined up to enter the train and when the train arrived, they let the passengers get out first...Totally unlike Singapore :( I would loved to live there except that the train system and lines are confusing and numerous (operated by different co.)...Better brush up your Japanese language if u are considering going to Japan. The student's school uniform is so COOL and PRETTY!!! Wow...simply love their uniform :O) haha. The rice there is extremely delicious - I'm not joking! (I'm known for being choosy but the 2 Japanese Stores I went was GREAT!) Dear friends, you have to admit the chocolate is SUPER NICE too!
Ouch. I forgot to mention that in Shanghai - (Ren Ming Guan Chang - People Square), you can still find Singapore identity there. Example: Raffles City (see pic) - where familiar brands can be found.

[[My PREcious HoLIdAy 2...]]

Here's the 2nd part of my holiday. On 29 May 2007, we took a 2hr train ride to Hangzhou-China. We lived in an excellent hotel. The hotel staff were the best!! Very friendly, helpful and diligent!! For only 1 day, we travelled with a tour group to West Lake, Tea Plantation, Silk-making factory and Yellow Dragon Cave. Their practices and beliefs are very interesting :) Want 2 wish for a good job/marriage? Go there! At night, where most shops are closed...there still one place u can go - Night market (about 40 stalls). It's amazing cos u bargain and haggle with the shop owners for a lower price!! We bought some good deals. But I kind of hate haggling cos it can be unpleasant and ugly :(

[[My PreCIOus HoLiDAy 1...]]

Dear ALL, I am very anxious to share my holiday with u all... I went to Shanghai-China and Narita/Tokyo-Japan. Time period: 26 May 2007 - 2 June 2007

Well here's a brief write-up and pictures to share with u guys! :D
26 - 28 and 30May 2007 (Shanghai)

The 1st day, we went to The Bund, from where we could see the Oriental Pearl Tower (day & night time) . There's a hero memorial there (see 3rd pic). There are beautiful parks and gardens in China. The well known shopping district is Nanjing Dong Lu. We bought 2008 Olympic sovenirs there (see 5th pic). We tried their Metro train on our last day in Shanghai to Xin Tian Di (another tourists' attraction). Hah! Another new experience for us is living in the Bunk/Hostel for 1 night. It's cheap - 50 Yuan ($10). The room consists of 2 double decker and cupboards. Everyone living on the same floor share toilets and shower area. It's really not too bad...many Americans lived like that too.

[[My STM...]]

I hate my STM- short term memory...hai :-(

Yesterday, 13 April (Fri) - I had a really busy day :D It was raining around 2pm & I accompanied my dad to Sheng Siong Supermarket to purchase an electric fan & kettle. We took shelter under a HDB flat & we saw an Indian couple doing an interesting action. The man stretched out his 2 hands to feel the wind & the rain. The woman ran towards him & hugged him from behind for quite a while...familiar scene?? [Does it remind u of Titanic except that now it's the girl who is holding the guy :?) Wahaha] Dad & I were secretly giggling among ourselves...At first, I thought they were doing a dance [u know 1 act as the tree while the other play hide & seek behind the tree :-]

Not to mention the rest of yesterday was spent on updating my blog.

Today, 14 April (Sat), I went to Esplanade library to borrow music cds & movies! I had 2 wonderful meals at Pastamania (Baked rice) and KFC respectively. My delightful companions are HL & Junyun. My dear friend JY is starting poly studies next Mon..."JIA YOU"

[[Any Other Business :D]]

5 April (Thu) - I went for a dental checkup. The dentist was so nice and assuring...Arrgh what's her name? Well I had 2 fillings done but my heart ache bcos i spent 140 bucks in all!! My advice: Next time go to the polyclinic. It'll b cheaper.

Basically after I quitted teaching, I cooped up at home doing housework (sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, handwashing my clothes, hanging clothes, etc) and surfing the Net. I found many interesting read online. Hehe

Yesterday (12/4 - Thu), Dad took me to my Secondary School to have a look at the new building. He also took me to a Chinese temple near my old school. There's a famous 100yrs old tree inside the temple...an eyeopener for me :) Hmmm what am I going to do next??

[[ZOO anyone?]]

1 April (Sun) - I went to the Zoo with my beloved sisters (HJ & HL). We arrived at 1.15pm, just in time for the animals show. We went to all the 3 animal shows. Too bad we didn't have enough time to see all the animals... I liked the horse carriage (it's like going back to Old England time) and the ground squirrels are so cute. They remind me of my 2 HAMSTERS @ home! :P A MUST SEE is the polar bears - "Sheeba" and "Inuka". Soon they won't be around :( Arrgh 1 day is not enough to view all the animals!! Yes...There were many foreigners there and the kids were so cute. Look at some picture we took!

[[SeNTosA for U!]]

25 March (Sun) - I was convinced by LL to meet her & Joanne at Sentosa. I can't even remember when was the last time I visited that place :( We went to the beaches, took the skyride (nothing much to see) and ate at Subway. The latter was a GREAT experience. I am not a bread person but really the food there was sumptious. WOW...Ouch!

[[All Abroad! Attention PLZ]]

Whew...It's already April and a long time since I last posted here :) What have I been doing??

One word to summarize them: HOLIDAYING

HoW?

ALright 13 March 2007 (Tue) was officially my last day as a contract teacher. On 9 March (Fri), the last day of schooling before it's the March holiday, I took care of Class 3B & 3C for the trip to Alliance Francise to watch the play - "Tales under the Dragon's Moon". I enjoyed the trip and play very much. It's was an amazing experience for me and I really like the students! Okay I came back to school on 14 & 16 March (Wed & Fri) to finish up some marking.

13 March (Tue) afternoon - HY, HL, Dad & I went to the Jurong Bird Park. I really enjoyed the trip & view. We watched 2 bird shows. Look at the pictures!! The presenters were excellent in their presentation and coordination with the birds. I watched them feed the birds and fishes. They were very approachable & even explained and provided us with interesting facts & information. Kudos!!
On 14 March, I went back to Temasek Poly with HL because I missed the FoOD - chicken chop! On 15 March (Thu), I lazed at home watching korean dramas from morning till noon. I missed the NLB volunteer orientation :( Anyway at around 3pm, HL & I cycled to Puggol Park. We bought snacks there to savour and enjoy the scenery & atmosphere there!! We also drank ice chocolate at the cafe there...16 March (Fri), HL & I went to Dhobby Ghaut to buy korean dramas, movies and earrings. I couldn't find the shop to have my ears pierced...haha

17 March (Sat), I have a dinner date with my Secondary School pals (LL & MQ) :D HL accompanied me to Chomp Chomp to meet them. We ate rice, sting ray, satay, chicken wings, egg beancurd with longan,etc...It was a fresh experience for me. It was a long time since I ate there :O

22 March (Thu) - Dad and I went to HF's workplace to meet her for lunch. It's was a surprise visit! Right...later we went to Esplanade because I wanted to borrow movies from Esplanade library. We stayed there for a while bcos I was attracted to the wide collection of music cds there!!

23 March (Fri) - 6.00pm, Dad took me to SRJC to attend the parent seminar - Yr 1 matters. I found the student ushers very attentive and courteous to the visitors. I am all praise for the seminar talk...it's was clear and enlightening. I trust my sisters will be well taken care of there if the teachers are approachable and helpful.

24 March (Sat) - EXercISe DAy. HF acompanied me to meet LL for a running session at Hougang Stadium. I am very happy with my achievement (I managed to run 8 rounds non-stop)! We relaxed and ate at the KFC in Hougang Mall. Later from 3pm to 8pm, HF and I went to AMK Hub to shop...we tried many shops but our bag were practically empty. I only bought 1 korean shirt (18 bucks).

[[To Myself, Happy Birthday!]]

Yes...today is my BIG day! I am 1 year older...wiser? Maybe not...haha. I don't want to forget this year's birthday because it's very important to me! Yesterday, my 2 best friends from secondary school [F & LL] asked me out to watch movie: "Friends with $" & "John Tucker must die". The former was pretty boring but the latter was hilarious and mood lifting :D We ate lunch at swensen, tea break at Ya Kun Kaya Toast and dinner at Coffee Club. Well...we never torture our stomach :) Anyway, my friends were full of surprises up their sleeves...they gave me 4 wrapped gifts at 4 different venues/situations!! We sang birthday song at Coffee Club :P By the time I reach home, it was nearly 12am and I wished myself a very happy birthday!

I was in for more presents today. I received a card and gift from a church teacher/auntie whom I respect very much, a game set from my sisters, a red packet from my dad and elder sister. Overall I had a very fulfilling and bountiful birthday!! It was really better than last years' and I am really glad to have such good friends and caring family who I know will be there for me and remember me always :D

Tomorrow will be another working day for me...Hope my job will get better and satisfying. Last Friday, I took over a teacher's form class for a day. But the experience was not a pleasant one. The students can really get on my nerve. They are so noisy and pretty much "uncontrollable"...well am i really suited for teaching?? I am still thinking hard about this question...I really don't want to give up so easily.

[[Amazing Holiday!!! Yeaahhh :P]]

I have been a teacher for one and half months...I am still hanging there...hmmm :) Yes. I have the first taste of celebrating teacher's day as a Teacher...weird...yes...I am thankful for my students who really made my day. I am currently enjoying the Term 3 break - wow I really need the rest! What did I do???

Hark! I went to the newly opened Bishan Library on 2nd September 2006. I managed to grab most of my "wanted" books. All brand new!! Yes yes yes :D I spent the next few days reading them. On Wednesday, I went to the library again with HL to borrow more books...We went to Junction 8 to shop and bought a brand new anime - Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle!! I love that show because the main characters are so handsome & cool!! The music is great too :P Unfortunately I only have season 1...So sad :( When will the rest come out??

Right now I have to put my mind into teaching!!! So Night night (",)
